On the nose a meeting of oloroso and crisp pot still character. Lovely fruitcake richness, though not as sweet as in recent years and the palate is very firm, oily, intense and mouth filling. The finish shows a hint of spice counters an increasing oaky bitterness though the barley and sherry last to the very end.
